The Year ahead

Last year I started attending sparsholt college just outside of winchester. this has opened me up to lots of new fishing possibilites and experiences that i did not have when living in cambridge. I now spend most of my free time fishing on the chalkstreams of hampshire and wiltshire with the odd excursion to fish with my good friend lewis hendrie on exmoor and the surrounding area. this has given me a chance to really get to grips with my river fishing and river craft and a proper chance to really give my fly patterns a run for there money. Being at sparsholt has really opened my eyes to the wider world of fishing and i have become very interested in the conservation, restoraton and managment side of rivers. at this moment in time i am on my work experience with Cain Bio-Engineering, which in the last few days has allready taught me so many things which i had no clue about before.

In the coming year i will be attending The youth International on Lough Owel in ireland, as part of the England youth team, this will be a challenging competition as the lough is very hard in july when we will be fishing it, however as allways it will be great fun and an excellent experience. I am also part of the World Championship team where we are hoping to fish on the rivers and one lake in the Lozere region of France, this will also be tricky fishing, but very rewarding and if we get it right we can hope for a good result.

To finish, here are a few pictures of recent and past fishing excursions.
